Salt of the Earth
You may know halite by it's common name; Rock Salt. In Halite Wines, Haidee and Ben endeavour to create ‘salt of the earth wines’ that are honest and delicious.
They work with grape growers who farm organically and follow suit in the winemaking process; gently guiding the fruit into becoming the best it can be. As with most things in life, this is down by allowing the wines time to transition and flow.
The debut Light Dry range has been thoughtfully crafted with a style in mind and is guaranteed to deliver on flavour.

2024 Light Dry White
A blanc de noir from organic Pinot Noir grown on the terraces of the Ruamahanga River in Martinborough. Flavours of mandarin, apple and savoury tones. This wine is energetic with a fruit purity framed on chalky phenolics and linear minerality

2025 Light Dry Red
A wine made for both lightness and depth. The 2025 LDR is equal parts Pinot Noir from Martinborough and Sangiovese from the Mangatahi Terraces. Red fruits, earthy, floral. Bright, fresh and spirited with plenty of interest. Looks great chilled.
