It’s one of the coolest subregions in Hawke’s Bay, offering a longer growing season and greater diurnal range- warm days and cool nights. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-end=\"979\" data-start=\"691\"\u003eThe Osawa Vineyard, located on the Mangatahi Terraces, is planted on complex riverbed soils: predominantly alluvial gravels over clay loam. It was then racked to seasoned oak and inoculated with a pied de cuve (vineyard starter).
